The streets were almost like a mirror, reflecting the light. The damp wet air had just filtered the smell of the trash cans near by. As the rain poured down onto Amara's head. She sniffed a bit, as another hit her on the nose. She put her ears down, almost feeling a bit saddened by the rain. She, as a animal, could not speak, but she could think to herself. Hmph. The thing that bothers me more, is that I have no home, meaning no shelter over me. She looked around, as her claws hit the streets. It almost seemed empty, but was it? She Began to pad towards an alley way, looking for something to cover her up.
As the thunder cracked itself into a big thump, Amara dipped her head and looked up a bit. Her ears perked up to another boom. Then she sniffed around again. It was not a good day for her to be out in the rain like this. She let her light brown eyes scan the alley way, looking for any other thing in sight. Then she padded towards a garbage can, seeing that nothing had claimed it. Then she looked back, hearing voices. She slowly turned her body towards where the noise was coming from. As the voices became more clearer and closer, Amara backed away into the shadows. Her tail slowly fell in between her legs. Then she stared at the opening in the alley way, waiting to see what it was.
As two human girls passed by the alley way, umbrellas up over their heads, Amara just watched them from the shadows. Then, as the girls walked on by, she slowly revealed herself again from the darkness. She padded towards the opening in the alley way and peeked out. She watched, as all she saw was the backs of the two girls. She turned back into the alley way and headed to an old box.
With that, she let her body slowly slide down under the old box. The water dripped in a bit, but it was better than nothing. She just stared straight, letting her ears flatten against her head.
